It was suggested to me to have a forum on the site to discuss the rosters and announce whats new, whats coming up and what people are having problems with. Feel free to join up and let your voice be heard.

First let me thank you and everyone involved for creating this website and putting together all of these great rosters. I wanted to ask if anyone else has had problems with there franchise's skipping when you get to a certain point? I had a problem with my 84, 86, and 87 franchise's. They all start to skip or freeze either during or right after the draft. Is this a common problem?

I created all three of those files and can tell you that none of them were really designed to go beyond that year. They are meant to play out the season and that's it. I usually sim into the following year to see what will happen, but I generally get a stat glitch. A couple factors went into deciding it shouldn't go past one year.

1. The draftees I put into the game are not rated. They are just there for Sportscenter to talk about.

2. The guys in the draft that I don't change will have ratings based on the game and not the adjusted ratings, so DBs will have high CATCH numbers, etc. It skews the game, although I guess it could be worked around.

3. The stat glitch. Often, guys will go into the next season with outrageous numbers in the fist week (like 7000 yards passing). I don't know the cause or the solution.

Because of all of this, the season is meant for one year only, which is why I am working on 1988 now. You can play out 1987, load up 1988 and continue on.
